Sometimes I do talk to my contacts online.I said "TALK" because the I do not MEAN "type" which is also "talking" in digital linggo. I actually TALK. I use my voice and the yahoo messenger. I have my talking and my non-talking moods, like everyone else who is not normal.Recently, one of my "multiply buddies" got me online. She went like : "Hey you talk nice, you're not.. blah! blah! blah!" I knew exactly what she meant despite the inadequacy of her ability to tell me what she really means.  She meant something like I am NASTY to read BUT great and friendly at real time chat. I was about to confess my deep dark secret that I have a dual personality and the other half of myself is a cerial (note that please) killer but I was in such a polite mood that I didn't even consider jesting.Or maybe it was the flu medicine. Anyway the talk was interesting and so was the static. It was also the kind of chat that somehow makes you know that rumors and gossips are faster ((whopee!)) -- from the ridiculous to the sensible sort.Anyway, yes, this is the real me. (I am coughing at this point)
Of course that is assumed by these days you never know do you? Yes, I am a pleasantly nice person to talk with and YES I am also what you read. What I write is what you get. And no, I am not related to someone like Jack the Ripper or Ted Bundy. That is a figment of the most ignorant imagination! I'll take the Mossad anytime though :) Really.
And really.. there must be something like a "digital reputation" DIFFERENT from the REAL one. (Sounds like "Second Life" huh? Maybe that is the point?)
Except that I do not mind if my digital repute is "damaged" or "suspect", particularly because I know that everyone has impressions and sometimes, the truth is far from it, which is WHY I have never considered a blog network a reliable avenue to "have instant friends".
And heck I am very picky when it comes to friends! -- they are like GOLD, and thus, I do not expect to be picking them out from social networks. I keep saying that because I mean that. I say what I mean. But I treat my friends WELL, I FIGHT and kick ass for them (Right Chiwee?)  And MY FRIENDS are ALWAYS RIGHT no matter what they do. I can rationalize FOR them but never AGAINST them. Most of all my friends usually are not the Brady Bunch sort which makes my life great !
I think of blogging contacts instead as something like a rattle... every baby must have a blog - myself included. After all there are 62,000 blogs created daily:) Like.. rattle , rattle,rattle I am here ! I say this, you say that. That is life. That is communicating, but that is not love.
So puhleeze let me rant and rave because I am me. Besides, I let you be you anyway and I never speak ill behind your back, maybe your front.
That is why I love these Israelis... they can only call a spade-- well -- a spade!
That's why I love my friends, they call my nasty-ness "SMART" (and my straight rules DO NOT APPLY TO MY FRIENDS. I am biased FOR my friends!)
My point is simply this : I am not here to make friends or look for some meaningful human relationship but if we somehow cosmically connect, then, that's AWESOME!
If I meet you in cyberspace in some imaginary trampoline and we connect : that's a MIRACLE!

 | I am one of those lucky people Bugsey calls on the phone (usually about 2:00 a.m. my time -- fortunately I am an insomniac so she is not waking me up LOL) and digitally, and I can truly say she is as sweet and as crazy as she is here and also as direct. It is part of what makes her special. One minute she will say something serious and then next minute something so "off the wall" that you wonder if she was spending time with that kareoke guy down the road from her.
