I have been through a lot of multiply "marketing" sites today. There are STUFF I REALLY want except for ONE THING : I am not a "nice" person. I do not trust ANYONE with an online market place UNLESS I know that person (like, if he/she is my buddy). I must admit tho', that I did ask some people to make some purchases for me in other countries.

On the other hand, I undertand that PAYPAL can be a hassle. Dang! Who would want to give out one's private information all because of such a coveted card? I also found out that having a paypal does NOT assure me that when I am in some vacation at some beach somewhere, I would be able to draw OUT cash from my paypal card! It was my being stuck somewhere last week which made me find the almost perfect PAYPAL alternative called IKOBO which is a LOT better than paypal.

Actually, it's a VISA card where you can transfer your money and bring it on vacation. You can also buy and sell ONLINE with SAFETY by using the card. The nice part is that if you do have relatives in countries abroad, you can actually get them an IKOBO card and it is something like a VISA that THEY can withdraw at any VISA and Mastercard ATM! Yes, even in Asia! :)

Works well in Manila, India, HK and there is no extra charge for remitting money from the USA (except 5 dollars for 1000 US). BEATS Western Union a LOT! (And doesn't even ask for your bank details) Yet, the IKOBO card can be reloaded ANYTIME, even at midnight and you have no cash! All the remitting party has to do is to go online and transfer money to the CARD that you have. Then, you can simply go to ant ATM and withdraw it :) If online sellers at Multiply and at other sites use this card, they may also accept payments on their card and sell all over the world :) :):) The most important part is that the "buyer" wouldn't feel "insecure' about his/her purchase, nor think that it's a scam. And the best part -- it doesn't ask as many questions as PAYPAL... it works! Try it and click that picture UP there and SEE THE EASIEST WAY TO TO LEGIT BUSINESS :)

Thank you for the info. I still am leery of doing any kind
of monetary transaction online.

I recently blocked a user for sending me a SPAM PM to buy some grotty jewlry. If floks wanna use Multiply to sell stuff and advertise, that's fine by me but when they start fishing for site hits ............. LOCK AND LOAD.
Besides, those who really know me know that I don't wear any kind of jewlry.

I've got a few invites from these Multiply "marketeers". Which I immediately deleted. I didn't know Multiply allowed people to use it as a "store". and I turned the people in also for spamming my site at times,lol.... If I want to shop, I'll go to them, don't come to me. I hate that.

I may be a little prejudiced by I prefer ebay. I do WANT to buy some things at multiply tho' IF ONLY they had something lik epaypal or Ikobo to trace the real sellers.

I must be the only creature on the planet who refuses to have a credit card therefore I don't have to have deliberations of this sort. As difficult as this may be it means I don't owe any money anywhere. It's a "new" :) concept which works for me.

The whole point of credit cards, debit cards, check cards, etc. is to make it easier to spend your money.

The problem with that is, it's too easy.

People today have forgotten how to live below their means.
Living below your means doesn't mean living in poverty, it means spending wisely and not wasting your funds on frivolous stuff you REALLY can live without.

I think everyone should cut their credit cards and get a debit card instead if you ask me.

PayPal is excellent for global online transactions - been using them for years with no problems whatsoever. Up to now I have not needed anything else online apart from a Visa card. PayPal are also useful for moving funds around to third parties without having to loop it through one's own bank account..

The TOS of Multiply frankly doesn't allow this but then again, it's a live and let live world I guess.I just wish that they would NOT be posting business cards on my guestbook or I will definitely delete them :)
